I'm a big surround music fan and made this album so I can listen it in surround through headphones on a portable player. Dolby Headphone, sometimes referred to as Mobile Surround, is a technology which allows you to listen to music, watch movies, or play video games with surround effects using any set of two channel stereo headphones. The sources of this release are surround versions of the tracks ripped from the SACD release.

Daft is a compilation collecting the Art of Noise LP Who's Afraid of the Art Of Noise? (with one track, "Snapshot", appearing in a longer version than on the original UK LP, but previously released on the Japanese version), along with portions of the Into Battle with the Art of Noise EP and "Moments in Love" remix single. It gives a fairly thorough overview of the Trevor Horn period of the group, prior to its split from the ZTT label. The compilation is also notable for its amusingly venomous liner notes by Paul Morley (under the pseudonym Otto Flake), attacking the new incarnation of the group. In 2004 the album was re-released on Super Audio CD (the source of this release).

Track 1, "Love", is the track called "Moments In Love (Beaten)" on the original singles. Track 16, "(Three Fingers Of) Love", is the track called "Love Beat" on the original singles, but with the spoken intro edited out.
